Terms of service

What you are agreeing to, in the order it matters. The clauses about your money and your exchange account come first, not last.

Effective from 2 September 2026. Earlier versions are available on request.

This document is not yet complete.

The operating entity behind MONUNI has not been published here yet. Until it is, treat this page as a description of how the service behaves rather than as a contract you can enforce against a named party. If you are evaluating MONUNI and need this resolved, write to support@monuni.chat.

1.What MONUNI is, and what it is not

MONUNI is software that analyses cryptocurrency markets and — when you permit it — places orders on an exchange account that belongs to you.

  • It is not a broker. Your orders execute at your exchange, under your own account and its terms.
  • It is not a custodian. There is no MONUNI wallet. At no point does your money or your cryptocurrency pass through us, and we could not accept it if you tried.
  • It is not an investment adviser. Nothing MONUNI displays — a score, a recommendation, a narrative explanation — is personal financial advice. It does not know your circumstances and does not take them into account.
  • It is not a fund. You are not buying units in anything, and nobody is managing money on your behalf in a pooled vehicle.

2.Eligibility

You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter a contract. You must not be resident in, or accessing MONUNI from, a country subject to comprehensive sanctions, and you must not appear on a sanctions list that applies to us. You are responsible for whether automated cryptocurrency trading is lawful where you live; we cannot advise you on that.

3.Your account and your credentials

You are responsible for keeping your MONUNI password and your second factor secure, and for everything done by anyone who has them. Tell us immediately if you believe your account has been accessed by somebody else.

When you connect an exchange, you supply an API key and secret that you created on your own exchange account. You keep the ability to revoke that key at your exchange at any moment, without our involvement and without telling us — and revoking it is the fastest and most complete way to stop MONUNI acting on your account.

4.What you authorise MONUNI to do

Within the environment, trading mode and risk limits you have set, you authorise MONUNI to read your balances and positions, read market data, and place, amend and cancel spot orders on your behalf. It does this automatically and without asking you each time — that is the product.

Every account and every new connection begins in Observe mode, which places nothing. Advancing to Paper, then Approval, then Auto is a deliberate act you perform. MONUNI will never escalate its own permissions.

5.What MONUNI will never do

  • Withdraw or transfer your funds. We do not ask for withdrawal permission, and a live API key that carries it is refused when you try to connect it.
  • Show your API secret again. It is encrypted before storage and is not retrievable afterwards — not by you, and not by our staff.
  • Trade an asset you have not permitted, or exceed a risk limit you have set, or open a position while the account is paused.

6.Risk, stated plainly

Trading carries a real risk of loss, up to and including the whole amount you allocate. MONUNI does not promise a profit and does not promise to avoid a loss. Any figure it shows you — a backtest, a paper-trading record, a live track record — describes the past and does not predict the future.

A stop loss limits the price at which MONUNI tries to exit, not the price you get. In a fast or illiquid market the fill can be materially worse. Automated trading can also lose money faster than manual trading, because it acts without pausing to reconsider.

Do not allocate money you cannot afford to lose. Read Safety and risk before you enable live trading.

7.Plans, payment and cancellation

Paid plans are billed in advance for the period shown at checkout and renew automatically until you cancel. Cancelling stops the next renewal; your plan continues until the end of the period you have already paid for. Prices may change with at least 30 days’ notice before your next renewal.

A plan change never abandons an open position. Downgrading restricts what MONUNI may start, not what it may finish: exits, stop losses, take profits and reductions are exempt from every commercial limit. Agents above your new plan’s ceiling move to shadow mode rather than being deleted, and exchange connections are never disconnected by a billing event, because disconnecting one would sever our ability to manage what it holds.

8.Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use MONUNI to manipulate a market, wash trade, or evade an exchange’s rules;
  • share one account between people, or resell access;
  • attempt to extract another tenant’s data, bypass the risk engine, or reach the exchange relay other than through the product;
  • automate against our API beyond documented rate limits, or scrape the service at a volume that degrades it for others.

Security research is welcome. Report findings to security@monuni.chat and give us a reasonable chance to fix them before publishing; we will not pursue you for good-faith testing that respects other people’s data and does not degrade the service.

9.Availability

MONUNI is provided without an uptime guarantee. It depends on exchanges, market data feeds and network infrastructure that we do not control, and any of them can fail. We may take the service down for maintenance, and will give notice where we reasonably can.

Assume MONUNI can stop watching your positions at any time. If that would be unacceptable to you, place protective orders at your exchange as well — an order resting on the exchange survives our outage, and a rule enforced by our software does not.

10.Suspension and termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that we are legally required to act on, or that is being used in a way that endangers other customers or the service.

Where we suspend an account, we will still permit risk-reducing actions — closing a position, cancelling an unsafe pending order — unless the law forbids it. We will not leave you holding an open position we have stopped managing without telling you.

On closure, your exchange connections are removed and the stored secrets destroyed. Records we are required to keep, and the audit trail of actions taken on your account, are retained as described in the Privacy notice.

11.Liability

MONUNI is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for trading losses, for missed opportunities, for the acts or failures of an exchange, or for losses arising from your own configuration. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited — and if you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

12.Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For a change that materially affects your rights we will give at least 30 days’ notice by email before it takes effect, and continuing to use MONUNI after that date means you accept it. If you do not, cancel before it takes effect.

13.Governing law

The governing law has not yet been published here. See the notice at the top of this page. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live.
